Chris and I got married at City Hall by ourselves. To celebrate with our friends and family, his mom threw a party for us a couple months later. His mom, Heidi, couldn't be more proud of her boy.
We both had so much fun!
I think all our friends and family had a pretty good time too.
We both had some stipulations on this party though. First off, nothing stuffy. We wanted it fun and casual. Anything reminiscent of a traditional wedding or reception was out. I wanted delicious BBQ and appetizers from the Woodside Deli (our favorite!).
Oh, and cupcakes.
Chris wanted to play softball.
While he played softball with our friends and family, I hung out with my friends and played with Shannon's two adorable kids, Blake and Reade.
Oh yeah, and I had just a *little* champagne with my friends.
Our day was lovely. So much fun and so much love.
Her: A sleep deprived, slightly neurotic, knitting labor and delivery nurse. Him: A fun loving 9-year-old video game junkie trapped in an adult's body. She tries to get him to grow up, and he reminds her how to stay young... Two peas in a pod.
