If you've stepped foot in our home, you know about our famous white board. Everyone's written on it and left us a joke, thank you, reminder or just some love.
Our "to do" list is still there...just with "get married" and "woodside deli" checked off. "Love me forever" has always been checked off. Up in the right corner taped to the top is a candy heart that says "marry me". I found it shortly after we got engaged. Chris wrote the "k" right next to it. Glad he's in agreement.
I love the nature of a whiteboard. Chris knows I see his message, but I feel compelled to comment on everything he's written. It reminds me of passing notes in class. I often come home from work and as soon as I turned the key in the lock, already can't wait to sneak a peak of the whiteboard to see if he's left me a note. I feel like a little girl waiting to see if my crush has left me a little love note.
You'll probably see "jooce" written all over our whiteboard. It developed over the years and to us encompasses all those feelings of love where other words just fall short. Jooce.
The whiteboard isn't just for me and Chris, it's also for our friends and family. I call my little sister "Jah" or "Jah Jah" because when we were little I couldn't pronounce "Sarah". I still call her "Jah" without thinking. When we're with friends who don't know my little nickname for her, I often get asked, "wait, what did you just call her?" In return she simply calls me "Car". She wants me to stop feeding her, but she always comes over when I'm making food. Go figure. On the bottom left corner is a little love from one of my besties, Ashley. She lives in LA now and I miss her every day.
Next time you come over, leave us a love note too.
Her: A sleep deprived, slightly neurotic, knitting labor and delivery nurse. Him: A fun loving 9-year-old video game junkie trapped in an adult's body. She tries to get him to grow up, and he reminds her how to stay young... Two peas in a pod.
