One of my best friends, Jessyka, spent the first three months of the year studying seals in The Netherlands. When her internship was over, our friend, Kristina, my sister and I went to see her and have our own mini EuroTrip. Our first stop - Amsterdam!
Chrissypoo drove us to the airport on April 9th. Bye for two weeks booboo!
Kristina and Sarah at SFO waiting for the plane.
Who doesn't love wine on a plane? It sure helped the 10+ hour flight to London, 2 hour lay over, and second 1.5 hour flight to Amsterdam.

AMSTERDAM!
So.many.bicycles! I was never afraid of getting hit by a car, but many times I hesitated to cross the road from fear of getting hit by a bike.
Oh the canals. They were beautiful.
We toured the Anne Frank House. So much history, so much sadness.
It was an eye opening learning experience.
This is also known as the vacation where I never turn down an ice cream. I ate more ice cream cones in these two weeks than probably in the last few years combined. Dutch milk/cream is so much better than ours. It makes their ice cream decadent.
The architecture of Amsterdam is just beautiful. A city that is created around beautiful buildings and canals, it doesn't focus on having large endless roads or stadium sized parking lots. Just enough space to have a bike path and a small road for the few cars around.
Soaking up some more Dutch culture. We went to the Van Gogh Museum (no pictures allowed), ate everything in sight, and did all the silly things we could.
Dutch McDonald's.
"Get in the clog and take a picture!"
Only in Amsterdam.
Fries with mayo.
We took a walking city tour and tasted some yummy Dutch cheese at one of our stops.
Mint tea and real Dutch apple pie. One of my most favorite desserts in Amsterdam.
We just *had* to have the Heineken experience.
We walked most of the time in Amsterdam, but of course we had to take the occasional bus. Sarah and Jess.
Me and Kristina.

I amsterdam.
I am an Inglis!
After 5 days of eating, exploring, walking and learning in Amsterdam, we hopped on a 6 hour train to...Berlin!
Her: A sleep deprived, slightly neurotic, knitting labor and delivery nurse. Him: A fun loving 9-year-old video game junkie trapped in an adult's body. She tries to get him to grow up, and he reminds her how to stay young... Two peas in a pod.
