Week 20.
I'm going to spare you all the details, but week 20 brought us...appendicitis! After 11 hours in the hospital of trying to figure out this pain, I had a laparoscopic appendectomy under general anesthesia last Tuesday, two days before Thanksgiving. Baby and I are recovering well and other than the three incisions left, no worse for wear.
We've been taking it easy for the last few days. Here we are before going to my aunt's on Thanksgiving.
We're not as young as we used to be, making 2 or 3 trips on Thanksgiving to multiple family dinners, but we did stop by Chris' Grandma Martha's house yesterday to see them. It was nice seeing them and catching up even if we didn't get to see them on Thanksgiving Day.
Today, we're laying low indoors. It's crazy how one day can knock me out for a whole other day. Oh well, whatever my body and baby needs, they'll get. Today that means movies and watching Gold Rush on Netflix =)
Her: A sleep deprived, slightly neurotic, knitting labor and delivery nurse. Him: A fun loving 9-year-old video game junkie trapped in an adult's body. She tries to get him to grow up, and he reminds her how to stay young... Two peas in a pod.
