Bits and pieces of our extensive holiday season:
The heart of Christmas, our Christmas tree. We love ornaments, the more the merrier.
Hats for babies born on Christmas day.
We spent Christmas Eve at my dad's and out of every gift given, I think Lexi enjoyed hers the most.
My dad and Santa never seem to be able to be in the same room at the same time...
Christmas morning we woke up early to watch the holiday log, open presents, and squeeze in some baking so we had goodies to share with our families.
Christmas breakfast always takes place at Chris' grandma, Martha's, house. Martha fell in love with Chris' sweatshirt we got in Disneyland and they made a deal and traded homemade cookies made by Martha for Chris' sweatshirt. The cookies were delicious! An incredibly fair trade if you ask me.
After breakfast, we exchange gifts.
And Phil takes a nap.
A very random picture, but so "them". Caleb is definitely a Mac, and Chris is the PC.
The day after Christmas I had tea with the women on Chris' mother's side of the family. We started doing this in 2004 and have only missed one year in between.
Last night we had a holiday party with our friends with good food, abundant drinks, and a very fun gift exchange.
I think we all had a great time!
I'm working tomorrow night so while the rest of the world parties to ring in 2011, I'll be working hard and possibly wishing a Happy Birthday to the first baby of the new year.
Goodbye 2010, you were incredible. I can hardly wait to see what excitement 2011 brings.
Her: A sleep deprived, slightly neurotic, knitting labor and delivery nurse. Him: A fun loving 9-year-old video game junkie trapped in an adult's body. She tries to get him to grow up, and he reminds her how to stay young... Two peas in a pod.

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I thought I would introduce myself seeing as I have just started following your blog. I stumbled across it through someone else's blog (I'm sorry, but I can't remember who!) and I was drawn to the full, happy, energetic life you lead - I hope you don't mind if I stay awhile. M x
