Before Chris and I lived together, I used to scrapbook a lot. I used to keep little momentos from our vacations, anniversaries, or any type of outing. I kept receipts from dinners, pressed rose petals from anniversaries, all our movie ticket stubs, programs from shows, etc. He got so used to it, he'd hand me every little thing and just say, "scrapbook". Years later, he still jokes with me about it. We may go out for a casual bite to eat, and he hands me the receipt and says "scrapbook!"
Scrapbook!
Even at 2 in the afternoon, Five Guys was super busy and they messed up my order. Chris got exactly what he wanted, but for some reason my mayo, lettuce, ketchup and grilled onion cheese burger turned into one also with tomatoes and pickles.
Chris was happy, he got extra pickles added to his already extra pickled burger.
Just incase we haven't exceeded our daily caloric intake by going to Five Guys, we topped it off with a visit to See's.
Chris started saying that we'll take candy in a one pound box. Wow, that's a lot of candy, but sure, we'll share, is what I thought. Nope, he wanted one pound of polar bear paws all to himself. I got half a pound of my candy, rum nougat and raspberry creme.
I sometimes feel guilty for accomplishing nothing other than sleeping in and going out for lunch before we sit at home and watch a movie and then I nap before work, but when in our lives are we ever going to have the luxury to do this again? Chris is applying for jobs so soon he will be gone the average 9a-5p during the week, and I'll still be working nights and working every other weekend. We are in the in between, more than college students, but not quite homeowners with children. Once he gets a job, we buy a house and have our first child, all this free time will be out the window. I'm soaking up the laziness that is this part of our life and not apologizing for any of it. Off to eat candy, watch a movie, knit a little then take a nice 3-4 hour nap before work. Life is grand.
